Hey, Sprouts!

Just a tiny update with a big surprise. We are getting close to wrapping up the year and only have a few projects left on our list. Early next year, we will share our 2025 summary along with a look at our plans and direction for 2026.

Novinauts are here, Novinauts are there, Novinauts Everywhere!
After many moons, the time has finally arrived. Neo and Bert have been working tirelessly to transport Novian technology from Nova to Griffia in hopes of establishing a stable portal between the two worlds. So far, the connection is one-way, allowing Novinauts to travel to Griffia for the first time.

We are excited to unveil our surprise plans for Novinauts. The community has long speculated that Griffsnuff would be the only creator of Novinauts. We are happy to share that this is not the case. Novinauts will be available for sale from all three admins, offered as love items for two vouchers, and one free Novinaut can be redeemed through the new Novinaut CYO distribution. This makes Novinauts the much-requested fourth free character slot, now available by default for all users. All of this is live as of this update.

We hope everyone is as excited as we are about this announcement and enjoys the new character opportunities!

Double Medals and Trophies
When we converted trophies to achievements, there was no way for us to award duplicates of achievements. Since some users had multiple medals and trophies, we will be awarding 500 GC for each trophy lost. Users will receive a message once these have been banked.

Since we aren’t able to duplicate achievements, we’ll be introducing item bundles alongside trophies like Bonus and Hurdle. This way, users who already have those achievements will still receive rewards.

Rule Revisions
With the new Novinaut CYO, the rules below have been updated. These are live on our Rule page.

3.1 Character Creation

Kingdoms of Griffia [KG] has an established list of Artists who produce official Griffians that can be purchased to participate on this site. All Griffians must be present on a Masterlist to be considered an official Griffian. Other users can only create Griffians using a Love Item or our one-time free options: Mascots, Create-Your-Own [CYO], or Novinaut [CYO].

3.2 Account Bound Griffolk, Create your Own and Mascot Griffolk

Account-bound Griffolk are non-transferable Griffians. These Griffians cannot be traded, gifted, or sold under any circumstances. Account Bound: Yes [Characters with this label on the masterlist cannot be transferred]

Types of Account Bound Approvals/Characters:

- Mascot Griffolk [Haze and Maze] 
- Create your Own [CYO].
- Novinaut [CYO]

Minor Changes: Character Approval
All Character approvals pages have been standardized. This change has been made so that all creation guides are the same. They have been changed with the following:

- No Visual Modifiers or Auto Mutations; See Rule 5.4.
- No accessories or scars.

Minor Clarification: Coat Cover Mutation
Coat Cover used to state that free color was limited to the tips of Fur only. For clarity and to reduce declines, we are now allowing free color on larger fur areas such as manes, fur collars, and pompoms. This adjustment will help keep guides consistent and reduce confusion.

Art - Companion Height turnaround done for Eeks, Facets, Bunbles, and Kittecurra
Art - Added a different example to Folded in Guide 4 - Mutations to make it more straightforward that folded can add new joints.
Art - Added a disclaimer text to Double Limb in Guide 4 - Mutations that makes using dyes with Double Limb clearer.
Bunbles - Old Bunblebeetle and Bunblelepi subtypes created on our Masterlist have had different tail mutations unlocked because tails were added to the official artworks.
Achievement - First Contact added - Unlocked by creating a Novinaut CYO
Forms - Added Lichewel, Drakle, and Thallopus as unlockable forms

Love Raffle - A disclaimer has been added to the Love Raffle page noting that characters entered into the raffle will remain paired, even if a soulbond is broken afterward, until they are manually removed or the raffle is rolled.

NPC - Pea and Peanut added to Agne's NPC page.
Rules - Added more specifications to Rule 9.2a.
Submissions - All submission upload modules now display the 2 MB file limit.
Trials - Added more detailed tasks to all trials as requested.

Changes
Masterlist - Changed the way the masterlist loads themes and numbers. We changed it from loading by number, then alphabetical organization of themes, to being organized by number, then by alphabetical order of the species.
Masterlist - Added links for species and subtype to all Masterlists
Masterlist - Made species and subtype links on the character page BOLD
Message Center - Changed the "ticket" and "notification" sections to tabs rather than buttons to address frequent concerns that members are not seeing replies to tickets.
Rules - Updated 3.1 and 3.2 to make them include Novinaut [CYO] Approval

Bugs
Bug - Fixed broken "Processed at" timestamps on love item and approval system submissions
Bug - Disabled the "Claim Time Loot" button when it is pressed until the page receives a response from the web server
Bug - Everything selected in shops is cleared when switching buyers
Bug - All hybrid subtypes removed from characters with "Celestial" as the primary subtype
